10 Common Myths of Solar Energy

Are you under the impression that you don’t get enough sunlight where you live to produce enough solar energy? Think again! Our panels use both direct and indirect sunlight to generate power, meaning they still produce energy on a cloudy day. Download your FREE copy of the 10 Common Myths of Solar Energy to debunk some of the common fallacies about solar energy.

TOO LITTLE SUNLIGHT WHERE I LIVE

Our panels use both direct and indirect sunlight to generate power all year long – even in Ohio and Pennsylvania!

SOLAR PANELS ARE TOO EXPENSIVE

We offer three flexible financing options with little or no up-front costs, so you can choose what’s right for you!

THERE IS TOO MUCH MAINTENANCE

Actually, there is virtually none! And, most equipment comes with a 20-30 year warranty.

Types of Systems

Solar PV

Solar PV panels are proven technology developed by Bell labs in the 1954. The design has been enhanced and refined by NASA and deployed almost all space exploration projects since. There are few types of them – Monocrystalline, Polycrystalline and Thin-film solar panels. They absorb sunlight and transform it into electricity by utilizing a silicon based technology.

Solar PV’s advantages include:

      • They can provide you with clean green energy for about 30 years+
      • They are warranty for 25 years and there are many projects still producing energy at 30 and 40 Years.
      • Longer Days in the summer months produce the maximum amount of energy.
      • Extremely durable and can withstand Extreme weather including hail storms up to 1” in diameter.
      • TSolar panels can power everything from appliance in your home to entire schools!

Solar PV + Storage Systems

Solar PV + Storage is usually used for water heating. It’s a simple technology: the panels on your roof are the collectors of sunlight, thus heating up the liquid in the tubes which is then transported into your cylinder ready for use.

Let’s take a closer look at solar thermal advantages:

  • Typically this is the lowest cost and a great solution if you have a roof that faces south.
  • They can be up to 70% more efficient in collecting heat from sun rays than Solar PV
  • Perfect solution for heating up water

Solar Panel Facts

When designing your solar system we base the size of the system on your energy usage. Savings begin immediately when you turn on the system. If the system produces more than you use then you will send electricity back to the power lines and the utility provider will credit you or pay you for that solar power. This is called “net metering”, essentially the power company is paying you for the electricity you are producing when you do not use it all.

Installation Types

Roof Mounts

Large rooftops are the most popular locations for commercial solar installations. We have completed hundreds of these installations.  Typically this is a great solution if you have a roof that faces south.

Ground Mounts

Ground-mounted solar projects often achieve the highest ROI by allowing for optimal system sizing, design and layout, improving both constructability and long-term energy yields.

What others say about us

“I would highly recommend Ace.  All of their workers were very professional and kept me well informed of what they were doing and when. From the install of the ground mount system to setting the 48 panels — the electricians were very knowledgeable, workmanship was excellent.”

Larry BCanfield, OH

“The warranty and reputation are admirable. All aspects of the transaction were professional, timely, informative and top-notch when it came to customer service by explaining, problem solving, listening to requests and overall communication.”

Bruce B.Hubbard, OH

“I had a wonderful experience with Ace from initial contact to installation. I don’t do a lot of reviews but I don’t think these guys are getting the notice they should be getting. They have a professional setup team, construction team and ongoing service team. The materials are of a high quality and are designed to last. The planning and installation was very carefully done with a great deal of consideration to system effectiveness and aesthetics.”

Anna V.Wexford, PA

“I have become very concerned about America’s use of energy, primarily fossil fuels. Our use of these fuels has a significant impact on our environment.  I found Ace to be the perfect partner. They have taken care of every one of the many daunting steps from grant application to turning on the switch. I now have solar installations on all of my retail stores using 50% less electricity and with pay back periods as little as 5 years.”
